WHEREAS, during the week of May 8th – 14th, 2022 we celebrate National Nursing Home Week, which is also known as National Skilled Nursing Care Week. This year’s theme is “Creating and Nurturing Connections”; and
WHEREAS, we honor and respect our elders of any age and those with a physical or intellectual disability who reside at a skilled nursing center in Trumbull, CT; and
WHEREAS, nursing homes in Trumbull have made important contributions to the success and growth of our community. It is comforting to know these organizations are available to us and are staffed with well-trained, caring individuals who give their time, energy and attention to those in need; and
WHEREAS, I urge everyone to visit a loved one, friend, or neighbor being cared for in a nursing home; and
WHEREAS, we set aside time to honor the excellence of the work of the staff of our nursing home facilities “Creating and Nurturing Connections” while caring for our elderly and disabled citizens.
NOW THEREFORE I, Vicki A. Tesoro, by virtue of the authority vested in me as First Selectman of the Town of Trumbull, Connecticut do hereby proclaim the week of May 8th – 14th, 2022 as National Nursing Home Week
