On Thursday, April 6, 2023, Trumbull police located a stolen motor vehicle at the Trumbull shopping mall, and eventually arrested the occupant as he sat alone inside of the parked car. Courtney Estaba, age 33, of Pearl Harbor Street Bridgeport, was arrested for his involvement in this incident.

Around 12:00 PM, Trumbull police located a Nissan Rogue that had previously been reported stolen to the Bridgeport police on April 5, which was then observed parked in the Trumbull mall parking lot. As officers investigated further, they observed that the car was occupied only by Estaba. Officers then approached the Nissan and ordered Estaba out of the car to which he complied and he was taken into police custody.

Estaba told officers that the operator recently picked him up and they came to the mall together. Estaba stated that the driver entered Macy's while he waited inside of the vehicle prior to police arrival. When the officers arrested Estaba they recovered the vehicle’s keys which were still in the ignition.

Estaba was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 2nd degree, and was eventually released on a $10,000. bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on April 14, 2023.
