“Blood drives help support the medical care of those who may have an emergency and in need of blood,” said Luci Bango, Trumbull Health Department Director of Health. “The health department is delighted to partner with the Senior Center and American Red Cross on this important initiative.”

Proactive Health Care will also be on-site providing a 20-minute non-invasive circulation test which will provide a clear picture of your cardiovascular health. Real-time results and recommendations will be provided. The following insurance is accepted: Connecticare, Anthem, BCBS, Wellcare, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, UMR, Cigna, Stirling Benefits, CT Medicaid (Husky), and Government Medicare (Part B). For those who do not have insurance or whose insurance plan is not listed above, the cost for the test is $50. Registration is required. REGISTER HERE.

Register for the circulation test prior to blood donation if you would like to do both.

Bango said, “February is National Heart month and a great time to bring awareness to your cardiovascular health.”
