[ARCHIVED] 10/2/2017 - United Illuminating: Replacement of Utility Poles and related Tree Removal

The U.I. Co. has notified the Town Tree Warden and his Deputy that the replacement of utility poles and related tree removal is scheduled at the following locations.

1) 4294 Madison Ave.  36” oak
2) 30 to 38 Lafayette Dr.  2 maple, 1 ash, 7 tulip trees, 12-18” 
3) 40 Dell Ci.  18” hickory
4) 228 Fernwood Rd.  36” oak
5) 315 Park Ln. 18” maple
6) 356 Park Ln.  36” multiple stem tulip tree
7) 27 Lantern Hill Rd. 36” oak in rear of property
8) 699 Plattsville Rd.  on Morris 30” cherry
9) 4 Tulip St. on Fairview 6-12” hemlocks

The U.I. stated that the purpose for this work is to improve electrical reliability as authorized under their "Capital Improvement Program".
