[ARCHIVED] Storm Cleanup Program Beginning 8/12/24

The Town is conducting a town-wide pickup of storm-related brush and debris caused by the recent storm. Cleanup will begin on Monday, August 12, 2024. The town will be divided into four quadrants and the program will start on Lake Avenue and work through the Northwest Quadrant first, then work clockwise through the Town.

Residents can track the Storm Cleanup progress by viewing the Storm Cleanup Progress Map, which is updated daily. There will only be one cleanup pass on each street.

Guidelines

Town requires only storm related materials can be included in this pickup. 

Storm-related brush and debris should be cut into lengths of no more than 4 feet long and placed at curbside for pickup. There is no need to call to make an appointment for debris pickup.

NOTE: The Public Works Department will only pass through each street in Town once for storm cleanup.

Piles MUST be accessible for machine pickup, and cannot be placed behind poles, stonewalls, or other obstacles that impede the use of payloaders or backhoes.

As a reminder the Public Works Department does not remove private trees from your yard or driveway. If you have a fallen tree you must cut it up into four foot sections and place it by your curb for pickup.

Storm Cleanup Quadrants

The Public Works Department will only pickup storm debris once from a street.

The Town is sectioned into four quadrants: Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, with Route 25 running down the middle. Following will be the progression:

  • Northwest Quadrant: West of Route 25, then
  • Northeast Quadrant: East of Route 25, will begin in the north, will move south, and will pick up on streets up to and including Strobel Road, then
  • Southeast Quadrant: East of Route 25, will pick up from Strobel Road., south to the Town border, then
  • Southwest Quadrant: West of Route 25, until finished.
