Trumbull School District in High Demand: Realtor.com Ranks Trumbull in the Top Ten for In Demand School Districts

August 16, 2016 – In a recent article published on August 11th, the nationally recognized website realtor.com, has named Trumbull on its Top Ten list of the most in demand school districts in the United States.   This ranking is determined by looking at listing views for the Trumbull housing market on realtor.com, compared with other communities.  It is significant to note that Trumbull was the only Fairfield County community to make the top ten in this category.

“We are pleased with the recognition of our outstanding public school system”, stated Loretta Chory, Chairman of the Trumbull Board of Education. “Our recent student performance data show strong improvements and our school system, under the leadership of Superintendent Dr. Gary Cialfi and his outstanding team of administrators, teachers and staff work diligently to give Trumbull students the best opportunity to succeed.”  “This data confirms what we already know - Trumbull is a destination of choice for families looking for an affordable town with outstanding schools to raise their children”, concluded Chory.

First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst and School Superintendent Dr. Gary Cialfi also echoed the comments of the Board of Education Chairwoman.  “This recent recognition is another strong indicator of how our school system is not only earning state, but national recognition,” stated First Selectman Herbst.  “A nationally recognized publication has affirmed that our school district is more in demand than any other Fairfield County community.  In Trumbull, you get a school system that is exceeding performance as measured against our neighbors, while being able to get more value for your home and your investment in our community.  My congratulations go to the Board of Education, Dr. Cialfi and our hard working administrators, teachers and staff that have made Trumbull Public Schools the envy of the nation.”

Superintendent Dr. Cialfi added, “This is another opportunity for me to express gratitude and appreciation to the teachers, administrators, and all support staff for their dedication and commitment to the academic and social growth of our children and to the advancement of our community.”
