BEI Legislative Forum: Preparing for Post-High School Success: Legislative Forum Flyer 2016
For the second consecutive year, the Trumbull Business-Education Initiative (BEI) Foundation is proud to organize and present a Legislative Forum on Education for the public. Anticipating an enthusiastic turnout, the forum will be held in the Senior Lounge meeting space at Trumbull High School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 (snow date March 22).
The forum will bring together Dr. Dianna Wentzell, the Connecticut State Department of Education Commissioner and Steve Wright, a member of the Education Department’s Board and former Trumbull Board of Education Chairman, with all four of Trumbull’s elected state representatives – Senator Marilyn Moore and Representatives Laura Devlin, Ben McGorty, and Dave Rutigliano – and Trumbull Schools Superintendent Dr. Gary Cialfi.
Moderated by State Senator Tony Hwang of Fairfield and one of Trumbull’s former State Representatives, the forum will focus on initiatives aimed at preparing Connecticut’s students for post-high school success and is designed for open dialogue involving not only the commissioner and Trumbull’s elected representatives, but for the general public …including students.
Those interested in attending are requested to RSVP by sending an e-mail to trumbullbusinesseducationi@gmail.com.
Proud to sponsor this program, Trumbull BEI is a partnership involving business, education, community, and town government dedicated to providing programs, projects, events, and activities to enhance students’ and families' understanding about careers and the work environment.
