Trumbull Ranked Among Best Public Elementary Schools in Connecticut
June 3, 2015 - - In the 2015 Niche Rankings of Best Public Elementary Schools in Connecticut, all six of Trumbull’s elementary schools rank in the top 150 statewide.
According to niche.com, “Best Public Elementary Schools” ranks 40,403 elementary schools nationwide, based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.
“The fact that all six of our elementary schools rank in the top 150 in the State of Connecticut is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teachers, administrators, school superintendent and Board of Education,” stated First Selectman Herbst. “In less than two years they have revamped protocols to make buildings safer, cleaner and more energy efficient. They have done this while eliminating portable classrooms, maintaining low class size, improving classroom technology and developing a plan to eliminate pay–to-participate fees. This builds upon our success in implementing full-day kindergarten in 2012. There is no question that our school system is better off now than it was a few short years ago.”
