People’s United Bank has created the “Teddy Bears for Trumbull” program, to benefit the Trumbull Police Department, by collecting teddy bears for children during times of crisis, and are promoting the month long project for community participation.
People’s United Bank is providing duffle bags for teddy bears to be kept in every Trumbull police car that can be provided to children who have been involved in various critical matters such as domestic violence incidents, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, or other traumatic events. Officers will use their discretion whether to provide the donated teddy bears to help comfort children during these times.
The Home Depot store , in Trumbull, will provide donation bins that will be available at the Trumbull Police Department lobby, all People’s United Bank branches in Trumbull, the Trumbull Town Hall, and both Madison and Hillcrest Middle Schools. Donations are requested for NEW medium sized teddy bears. These donation bins will be available during the scheduled program dates of October 1, 2019 through November 10, 2019.
