July 30, 2014 - First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst acknowledged today a consumer advice website that has ranked Trumbull as one of the "Best Places for Homeownership in Connecticut".
NerdWallet (NerdWallet.com), in a July 25th on-line article, listed Trumbull as the 7th best place for homeownership in the State, among 60 places that were ranked. The site previously recognized Trumbull as one of "The Best Towns for Young Families" in Connecticut, in November 2013.
"This article is just the latest piece of evidence that Trumbull is viewed very favorably by independent sources with no formal ties to the Town. It is similar to the recognition and accolades we have received previously from NerdWallet, CNN Money Magazine, Relocate America, Coldwell Banker and Family Circle Magazine,"' said Herbst. "As I've said before, this continual positive feedback is a clear indication that we are doing the right things to enhance our quality of life and prepare for an even better future."
NerdWallet's "Best Places for Homeownership" ranking was based on the availability of quality homes, the relative affordability of homes, the proximity of economic opportunity, and population trends.
