State Project: Milling and Paving On Main Street (Rt. 111) To Occur In August 2013

Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 111 in Trumbull


The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 111 in Trumbull (from Merritt Parkway to Whitney Avenue).

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 3.18 miles of Route 111 in Trumbull. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, August 12, 2013 to Wednesday, August 28, 2013. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to continue through the week of September 2nd, 2013.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 111 between the exit from southbound Route 15 and South Junction Broadway. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday morning – Friday afternoon).

Starting on August 27, 2013 – Paving on Main Street (Route 111) will occur at night. Please follow roadside message boards for further information.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
