Transfer Station News
Goodwill Industries hosts a grand opening of a collection center at the Trumbull TEaM transfer station! Now residents have more ways to save tax dollars, recycle more, generate less waste and help the environment.
A Goodwill Collection center has been installed at Trumbull’s TEaM transfer station and will begin operation on August 1, 2012. An attendant will be on hand to assist with bags and give tax receipt coupons. Please contact Goodwill directly at www.goodwill.org or ask the attendant for a list of acceptable items. The collection center will be open the same transfer station hours of operation: M-F 7:00am – 2:45pm and Sat. 7:00am – 11:45am
Also effective July 17, 2012, the collection of used motor oil, antifreeze and car batteries has permanently moved from the Highway Department to the TEaM transfer station for recycling. In addition to these items, residents of Trumbull, Easton and Monroe can bring household single stream recyclables, scrap metal, cooking oil and used electronics for recycling to the transfer station. No fees or tickets are required – FREE!
Remember to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink! By diverting our waste from high disposal fees, we keep our taxes low and help the environment at the same time. Increased recycling also brings more job opportunities to help stimulate the economy. Do your part – Recycle!
