A Fun-Filled Day Planned for Trumbull
Trumbull Partners with Westfield Trumbull and the Beardsley Zoo and for Trumbull Day, 2011
First Selectman Tim Herbst is please announced that the Town has partnered with Westfield Trumbull and the Beardsley Zoo to bring Trumbull residents a full day of family fun and activities on Saturday, June 25.
The day begins at Beardsley Zoo. From 10:00am until 3:00, anyone with Trumbull identification may enter the Zoo for a significantly reduced price. Trumbull residents will be greeted at the entrance by a small group of Trumbull businesses and community groups offering various children’s activities. Visitors may then spend the day touring the wild wonders of the zoo.
At 3:00, Westfield Trumbull will open its gates to families and individuals for a vibrant, family fun-filled afternoon and evening specially designed to please Trumbull residents. The agenda is filled with an array of outdoor fun, children’s activities, food, and live entertainment. A spectacular fireworks display set to music will begin at dusk.
“Trumbull Day” promises to be a wholesome day of fun, variety, and entertainment for our residents,” said First Selectman Timothy Herbst. “Beardsley Zoo is a wonderful local asset. A visit to the zoo is a great way to start the summer. Westfield Trumbull is a treasured partner. They have been generous and enthusiastic in planning and providing such a wonderful series of activities and entertainment to help us celebrate Trumbull Day 2011.”

The summer is packed with celebrations at Westfield Trumbull, Westfield Meriden & Westfield Connecticut Post in Milford. Hosted by WFamily, a free membership program offered by Westfield for families, each center is planning a fantastic day including concerts, delicious food, dazzling fireworks and more.
