  • Any vehicle that parks in a Town of Trumbull park requires a parking permit (vehicle park sticker).

  • Park stickers will be sent  for up to FOUR vehicles  to those with registered vehicles who are paying taxes to the Town of Trumbull. Stickers will be sent with your motor vehicle tax bill in July.  If your vehicle is leased you will receive your park sticker in a secondary mailing in July.

  • You should have received a Park Sticker for up to 4 vehicles in which you are paying the taxes to the Town of Trumbull.  We apologize if you did not receive all of your Park Stickers in the mail.  Please call our office at 203-452-5060 for assistance.

  • Park Stickers were issued according to the data in the tax database.  Your old vehicle may still be in the database depending on when you sold it, in which case your new vehicle information was not in the system.  You may throw away the Park Sticker with the expired information and contact our office to receive a new sticker.

  • Parking permits for vehicles that are not registered in Trumbull may be purchased for a fee of $112. Applicants must present a driver’s license and a current, non-expired, vehicle registration for private passenger and/or combination vehicles for the vehicle they wish to purchase a parking permit for.

  • In-Person

    Parking permits are available at the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department, 5892 Main Street. It is the Tellalian Building on the corner of Main Street and Church Hill Road and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    By Mail

    If you cannot get to the office during regular business hours, please mail a photo copy of your car registration and your license with a self-addressed stamped envelope and we will return a permit by mail. Please include your name, address, email address and daytime phone number. Please allow two weeks for processing.

  • Yes! Guest parking passes for the parks are distributed in two-week increments. The resident must know the dates of the two weeks they need the pass for when they request it (the dates will be printed on the pass). Residents can obtain the pass in person from the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department. 

    Each household is permitted one free two-week pass per calendar year. Additional passes can be purchased for a fee of $25. Residents must present a valid government issued photo ID as proof of residency (or see additional proof of residency).

  • Yes! Formerly known as the Nanny Pass, the Companion Pass allows the children of residents to enjoy the parks if they are driven by a non-resident caregiver. Residents can obtain the pass in person from the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department. Each household is permitted one free caregiver pass per calendar year.

    Additional passes can be purchased for a fee of $112. Residents must present a valid government issued photo ID as proof of residency (or see additional proof of residency) along with the driver's license and the car registration of the caregiver.

  • Trumbull non-driver residents are eligible for a Companion Pass. Residents can obtain the pass in person from the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department. Each household is permitted one free companion pass per calendar year. Additional passes can be purchased for a fee of $112. Residents must present a valid government issued photo ID as proof of residency (or see additional proof of residency) along with the driver’s license and the car registration of the caregiver.

  • You can bring documentation and the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department will change your registration and your license and submit it to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for you! Once you have submitted the necessary documentation you will be issued a parking sticker for your vehicle.

  • No, commercial vehicles are excluded from Trumbull parks by town ordinance.

  • Acceptable Documentation for Trumbull Parking Stickers

    Current Connecticut driver’s license to Trumbull address and a current vehicle registration displaying the tax town as Trumbull (Number 144). See the list provided if you do not have a driver’s license and registration to a Trumbull address.

    In order to obtain a vehicle parking sticker, Connecticut vehicles that do not show a tax town of Trumbull on their current registration will be changed in the Trumbull Parks and Recreation office and submitted to the DMV. If your license and/or your registration does not reflect a Trumbull address, then two documents from the provided list must be provided along with your current, non-expired Connecticut vehicle registration. Additional information may be required. All documentation must be in the same name and address of the applicant and the applicant must be present to sign off on the DMV documentation.

    Eligible Items

    Minimum of two items:

    • Credit card statement
    • Current residential property tax bill
    • Deed or closing papers
    • Residential lease in applicant’s name
    • Utility bill

    Change of Address

    If your current license has the change of address sticker on the back and/or your registration has been updated by crossing out the ’old’ address, you will also need to present one of the supporting documents from the list provided.

  • Yes. Those who own a home in Trumbull, but have an out of state car registration are eligible for a parking sticker. Please provide the following documentation: current out of state registration and license, Trumbull property tax bill with resident’s name and Trumbull address, and one additional utility bill reflecting the resident’s name and Trumbull address.

  • Yes you can get a sticker but it will only be valid at fishing locations.  Those locations are Old Mine Park, Indian Ledge Park, Twin brooks Park and Unity Park.

  • No, this is a state park and you may park in the Tait Road or Whitney Ave parking areas without a pass.

  • Yes, anyone can visit the park but parking is reserved for only those with a valid park sticker.

  • Yes, you should receive a park sticker in the mail.  If you do not please contact our office for assistance.

  • Stickers that have the word "VOID" printed on them are not valid and may be thrown away.  Vehicles with a "VOID" sticker will be ticketed.

  • Yes, you can get a parking pass by coming to the Trumbull Parks and Recreation office with your license and registration.

  • Yes. In addition to the current car registration, residents who drive company cars need to provide a letter on company letterhead stating that the car is assigned to them for personal use.  This letter needs to be provided on a yearly basis.  The letter should also include the make and the model of the car as well as the car’s license plate #.
