Two New Groups at the Mary J. Sherlach Counseling Center

Coping Strategies for Youth facilitated by Jeroy Smith MS, LPC and David Burden

Everyday situations at home, at school and with friends can often feel overwhelming and may lead to feelings of stress, anxiety or depression. Learning strategies to de-stress and calm yourself can help you successfully navigate challenging circumstances. Whatever may be the source of your challenge or stressful circumstance you can learn skills to improve how to how you cope and how you interact with others. Available to Trumbull residents and students ages 10 to 13. The upcoming six week sessions begins on Thursday March 5th, 2026 and ends April 9th, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM at the Mary J Sherlach Counseling Center, 121 Old Mine Rd. Inside Out Explorers

Inside Out Explorers is a dynamic and interactive emotional regulation group designed to help children in 3rd through 5th grade develop essential skills to understand and manage their emotions. Utilizing fun activities this group will provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore their emotions, improve social skills and learn healthy coping skills. This group is facilitated by Robin Bieber, LMFT and Kathy Rizzetta. It begins March 3rd, 2026 goes till April 28th, 2026 on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Mary J. Sherlach Counseling Center, 121 Old Mine Rd. Trumbull, CT.  Registration is required, you can contact the counseling center at 203-452-5193 or e-mail KRizzetta@Trumbull-CT.gov
