Purpose
Our TAG (Teen Advisory Group) is a group of youth volunteers looking to make a difference in their community.
TAG is open to all teens ages 13-18, attending Trumbull schools, interested in volunteering with the health department to organize community events for middle school and high school students.
The purpose of this group is to promote the importance of prevention and Public Health in relation to teens.
- Give teens a voice
- Demonstrate that adults care and listen
- Show teens that they are important and that they can contribute in a meaningful way
- Give us the teen perspective
Members meet monthly during the school year to work on service projects and advise public health staff on teen programs.
This will include:
- focus groups
- social media assistance
- liaison between schools and the health department
- event planning
