Databases

The Trumbull Library offers more databases than the ones listed below, but these are most helpful for completing school work. Trumbull residents will need their library barcode number to log in.

Britannica Online Library Edition
Encyclopaedia Britannica, first published in 1768, is no longer available in print. Britannica Online is actually two databases in one -- Britannica Kids for children and Britannica Reference Center for adults and older students – which makes it great for both homework assignments and general information.

Mango Languages
Mango is a free language learning resource that offers courses in over 70 languages for teens and adults. It also has a component for children called Little Pim, which offers 12 languages. Patrons can create an account or use Mango as a guest, but both options require a Trumbull library card. Mango is also available as an app on the App Store and Google Play.

NoveList Plus
This "reader’s advisory" database suggests authors and titles similar to ones you’ve already enjoyed and recommends books by genre, subject, character, setting, and time period.
