Trumbull Town offices are closed. Staff in each department are working remotely, so please call or email if you have a question or are in need of services. Building Department
The Building Department is functioning remotely while Town Hall is closed. Please use buildinginfo@trumbull-ct.gov to email us, or contact staff by calling 203-452-5020. We have developed new protocols for handling signoffs from other departments, invoices and credit card payments. Some inspections may be able to be done live using FaceTime, and plan reviews may be done by email. The Center at Priscilla Place: Human Services
The Senior Center is closed to the public. Staff are regularly monitoring the phone lines to assist residents with their needs. If you get our voicemail please be sure to leave a message. We will call you back. For residents needing rides to doctor appointments we are working with GBT for single passenger roundtrip assistance. Please be sure your doctor’s office has not cancelled that appointment before scheduling transportation with us. (203) 452-5199
The Trumbull Food Pantry located at the Trumbull Senior Center, 23 Priscilla Place, is delivering Meals on Wheels and food pantry/grocery items to seniors and others in need. Income restrictions do not apply. Anyone is eligible. Please call (203) 452-5136 for assistance. Please leave a message, your call will be returned.
There are also drive-thru services at the Trumbull Senior Center for food pantry clients and residents in need. If you or anyone you know is struggling to purchase food or not able to get to the store, please contact Social Services. All calls, deliveries, or pickups are confidential. We are able to assist families, children, adults, and seniors. Drive thru at the Senior Center is by appointment only. To sign up for these services please call (203) 452-5136 for assistance. Food Pantry Donations: Due to the coronavirus, the food pantry is asking for additional items. With school closings and possible financial loss for some families, we are anticipating an influx in demand for pantry use. Monetary donations or gift cards are appreciated. Checks can be made payable to The Trumbull Food Pantry (Please do NOT mail cash) and mailed to: TRUMBULL FOOD PANTRY - 23 Priscilla Place - Trumbull, CT 06611. You can also donate online. 100% of your donation goes directly to the Trumbull Food Pantry. More information and a list of food needs can be found on our webpage.
Senior Grocery Bag Program Available for all seniors: Through the Federal Cares Act, our local Agency on Aging will be providing us with free grocery bags for seniors. Please let us know if you are interested in receiving a weekly grocery bag by calling (203) 452-5136. You can pick up your bag on Fridays (previously was Monday). Delivery is available for residents who are home-bound. All seniors are eligible and there is no cost for this. Also, everyone is eligible for the food pantry. Be sure to let us know if you have any other food needs. We can give that to you at the time of pick up or delivery. We are able to help those under 60 through our food pantry program. Department of Public Works
The Town of Trumbull Public Works Department is monitoring communications remotely. Should there be concerns or request for urgent response please call 203-452-5070 or 203-452-5071. Large Item Pick-Up Program: Every effort will be made to honor scheduled bulk pick up requested prior to March 23, 2020. Reduced staffing levels may cause delays; however, resources will be assigned to complete existing commitments. At this time further appointments are suspended pending reopening of full Public Works services. We will make every effort to schedule appointments immediately once full operations are anticipated to resume. Thank you for your understanding during this emergency period.

Fire Marshal
At this time the Fire Marshal’s Office is working remotely. Our goal is to keep serving the residents and businesses of Trumbull to the best of our ability during these critical times. At any time residents and businesses may email the Fire Marshal’s Office at firemarshal@trumbull-ct.gov or leave a message at 203-452-5080. All phone messages and email left prior to 3:00 will be returned that day. Any emails or messages left after 3:00pm will be returned on the next business day.
Title Searches: Please email the address of your inquiry to firemarshal@trumbull-ct.gov. You will receive a response regarding tank pulls with a yes or no and date pulled, and an answer regarding if the tank was leaking or not. Copies of the actual reports will be emailed out within a few days of request.
Licensing Inspections: All licensing inspections (Day Care, Residential board and care, liquor), are currently on hold. Your current license will be extended and we will inspect your facility once the restrictions are lifted. Please email firemarshal@trumbull-ct.gov and we will contact you once inspections are being scheduled again.
Underground Tank Removals: At this time underground tank removals are not being conducted. Should you have a known leaking tank or a pull that must be completed for the sale of a property please email ffiremarshal@trumbull-ct.gov and these situations will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Blasting permits: please email your completed blasting permit to firemarshal@trumbull-ct.gov. ensure the call before you dig number is listed on the permit. Health Department
As the number of COVID-19 cases continue to increase and the situation continues to evolve, the Trumbull Health Department wants to ensure you that we are working diligently to monitor the situation. Although the office remains closed to the public, the health department staff is working extended hours to continue to provide essential services. Staff participates in weekly conference calls with local, state and federal agencies to keep abreast of the most current information.
We want to assure you that we are doing everything within our means to keep you informed during this public health emergency. Parks and Recreation
Trumbull Parks and Recreation is closed to the public until further notice. Our team is available to assist you via phone or email from 9am-5pm, Monday thru Friday. Please call 203-452-5060 or email recreation@trumbull-ct.gov.
Park stickers and pool guest passes will not be issued until our office reopens. 2019 Park Stickers will remain valid for 60 days after the parks reopen.
All recreation programs are cancelled or suspended. Participants will receive an email with the status of their program. All parks, playgrounds, open spaces, and athletic fields are closed to all activity until further notice. At this time the trail system remains open; however, we ask that residents practice the social distancing measures recommended by the CDC.

Patrons will need an active library card to connect to these services. For Trumbull residents who need a library card, have fines in excess of $10, have expired library cards or simply have questions regarding these services, please email referencelibrarian@trumbull-ct.gov.Those seeking a new library card need to provide their name, address, and telephone number.
Tax Assessor
The Assessor’s Office is closed to the public.

Elderly and Disabled Homeowners Program - At this time the Assessor’s office is closed. Please note: the filing requirements have changed this year per the Governor’s Executive Order 7S – Click here for more information. Income and Expense Forms – Per Governor’s Executive Order 7S, the filing deadline has been extended to August 15. Forms will be mailed out (and available for download) approximately May 1.

Tax Collector
The Tax Collector’s office is closed, but employees are accessing their email to address your questions.
At this time, there is no executive order from the Governor concerning municipal taxes or sewer assessments. Any changes to the statutes concerning the collection of municipal taxes or sewer assessments would require a ruling from the state. We do not have the authority to make any changes to due dates or interest charges. We are required to follow the statutes that are in force at this time. Please continue to check the Town website for any changes or updates.

Please use our online system to look up information regarding your tax bills. All amounts showing due on the website are accurate as of the date of viewing. You may mail in a check or pay online. Please note that if you use the mail, the U.S. postmark will be honored as the date of payment, regardless of when the payment is processed. If you choose to pay online, your payment will be reflected and updated in 48 hours on the online system. IRS tax information is also available online. Be sure to check the box “IRS Payment Records for year 2019” before hitting the search button.

Town Clerk
Town Clerk office hours are by appointment only and the office is closed for walk-in business until further notice.

Transfer Station/Recycling Center
The Transfer Station is currently open during regular operating hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Residents are limited to one trip per day.
Due to the current situation, the Trumbull Transfer Station at 101 Spring Hill Road is accepting Credit/Debit cards.
The Transfer Station is not accepting any organic composting material (yard waste) from residents of Monroe or Easton. ONE load per day from Trumbull residents will be accommodated. Please remember--ONE VISIT PER DAY to help workers enforce the emergency order regarding social distancing. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and much needed.
