Taxpayers: 2nd Inst MV and Supp MV taxes are due January 1, 2021 and the 3RD Inst 2019. GL Real Estate and 2020 Sewer Assessment is due January 1, 2021. Last day to pay without penalty February 1, 2021.
THE SUPPLEMENTAL MOTOR VEHICLE TAX BILL IS DUE IN FULL ON January 1, 2021
Section 12-71B of the General Statutes of Connecticut states that a motor vehicle registered between October 2, 2019 and July 31, 2020 must be taxed and said tax is due in full during January, 2021. If payment is not made by February 1, 2021, the supplemental tax bill will become delinquent and subject to interest charges at the rate of 1½% per month from the due date. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.
Taxpayer is still liable for payment in FULL on bills received in July of 2020 based on Oct. 1, 2019 Assessment.
THE JANUARY INSTALLMENT IS DUE ON THE GRAND LIST OF 2019 on January 1, 2021.
The JANUARY installment of Property taxes on the Grand List of 2019 is due and payable on JANUARY 1, 2021. If payment is not made by FEBRUARY 1, 2021, the installment will become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1 ½% per month from the installment due date. Minimum interest charge is $2.00.
THE JANUARY INSTALLMENT OF THE 2020 SEWER ASSESSMENT BILLING, IS DUE ON JANUARY 1, 2021.
The JANUARY installment for the Sewer Assessment is due and payable on JANUARY 1, 2021. If payment is not made by FEBRUARY 1, 2021, the installment will become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1-1/2% per month from the installment due date. Minimum interest charge is $5.00.
Failure to receive your tax bills does not exempt you from payment of tax or penalty. Taxes may be paid by mail or online: https://www.trumbull-ct.gov/285/Online-Tax-InquiryPayment-System. The postmark will be used to determine if a payment was made on time. Be sure that your check is made out correctly, or it will be returned.
Payments may also be made at the drop box provided inside Town Hall, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm. These payments should be in a sealed envelope and properly marked with the taxpayer’s name and address. No cash payments are accepted at this time.
