First Selectman Vicki Tesoro is pleased to announce that the 2026 Memorial Day activities and parade will take place on Monday,  May 25, 2026.

There will NOT be a ceremony at the Vietnam Memorial on White Plains Road at 8 AM on Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place later in the day, time undetermined yet. Instead, the veterans will raise a flag at the new flagpole on the Long Hill Green at 8 AM on Memorial Day. All are welcome to attend to dedicate the new flagpole.

The ceremony will begin at 9:00 AM  in front of Town Hall. A wreath-laying ceremony, honoring those lives lost in other wars will also be held at Town Hall. Please join us for this ceremony.

The parade itself will step off at 10:00 AM, beginning at the new shopping plaza, Long Hill Market, and ending at Town Hall.

The town will fly flags on Main Street from Memorial Day until September 11th.  If you wish to sponsor a flag, please visit the Flag Sponsor page.  You may purchase a flag in honor of, or in memory of, a soldier who is deceased, has served, or is currently serving. Anyone can sponsor a flag in honor of all soldiers. The names of those being remembered or honored will appear in the program.

Please join us in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom by attending and/or by marching in the parade: Trumbull Memorial Day Parade Application (PDF) or apply online.
