Flood Resources

The Town of Trumbull offers information to all interested parties regarding Flood hazard and flood prone areas. The information includes but not limited to:

• Identification of a flood hazard zone via current Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM)
• Additional flood insurance data, such as FIRM Zone, FIRM number, Base Flood Elevation
• Guidance on the mandatory purchase of the Flood Insurance policy
• Information regarding available property protection measures 
• Regulations that affect floodplain properties
• Existing permit records and filed plats
• Historical flooding data
• Information is available if the property is located near a sensitive or wetland area.

The service is free to all members of the public and can be obtained by a walk‐in to the Trumbull's Engineering Department, on our website, via written email inquiry (wmaurer@trumbull‐ct.gov), or telephone at 203‐452‐5050. Hard copies of the map are available for an additional fee.
