The Trumbull Fire Marshal's Office reviews all plans for new commercial construction in town, as well as plans for any renovations to existing commercial buildings to ensure compliance with the Connecticut State Fire Safety Code. This review process may take up to 30 days to complete.
Once plans are received and the proper fees are paid, a marshal will review the plans and a plan review checklist is completed and sent to the architect or general contractor for review. When plans are corrected per the plan review comments, the permit can be released by the Building Department and construction can begin.
