Browse our Events Calendar to find an event you’re interested in. You can filter by location, audience, and category. Click on the event, scroll to the bottom, and click on Begin Registration.
If there is no Begin Registration button, the event may not require registration or registration may not yet be open. Typically, registration opens 4 weeks ahead of time for children’s and teen programs and 2 to 4 weeks ahead for adult programs. The date and time registration opens will be at the bottom of the page.
Once an event is full, you can usually still register, but you will be placed on the waitlist. The number of seats left in an event is above the Begin Registration button.

Children aged 12 and above may use the library independently. Please review our Unattended Children Policy for more information.

We appreciate your interest in making a donation to the library! The Trumbull Library relies on a mix of municipal and private funds in order to operate. We use donations to pay for programs, buy furniture, and add material to our collections. If the donation is in memory or in tribute of an individual, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to them or their family. Additionally, materials purchased using those funds have an individualized plaque inside honoring that person.
Please note, while we appreciate all donations, we ask that you consider making your donations unrestricted (i.e. "where the need is greatest"). Due to collections needs and the publishing calendar it can be very difficult to fulfill unique requests.
In order to make sure your intent is known, please print out the Donation Form, fill it out, and mail it in with your donation.
Please review our Gifts and Donations Policy for more information.
Using My Library Card
Trumbull residents can open their free library account by visiting the library with their photo ID and proof of their Trumbull address. Out-of-town residents must bring their up-to-date hometown library card and photo ID to be entered into our system. Visit our Get a Library Card page for more information.

While we only accept cash or check in person, you can pay your fines online using your credit or debit card. Sign into your library account to view your fines and make a payment. Not sure how to access your account or pay a fine? Watch our video below.
You can renew your checked out items over the phone, in person, or online.
Sign into your online library account, click on My Account at the top, and then click on Checkouts. You will be able to see all the items you have checked out. Click the box next to each item you want to renew or Select All, and then, click Renew. A pop up will appear asking you to confirm the renewal. Look for the message that appears under the Item Barcode. You will see either “This item cannot be renewed” or “Checkout(s) successfully renewed.” Renewed items will also have a new due date.
There are a few reasons an item cannot be renewed:
- If another person has a hold on the item
- If you have over $10 in fines
- If you have already renewed the item 5 times
If you need further assistance, please call the Main Branch at 203-452-5197 or email mylibaccount@trumbull-ct.gov.
