Trumbull Citizen Alert - Emergency and Community Notification Program

Receive alerts about emergencies and other important community news from the Town of Trumbull by signing up for our Trumbull Citizen Alert system. This emergency and community notification system enables the Town of Trumbull to provide important community notifications and essential information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, evacuation of buildings or neighborhoods, and other emergency situations.

How Trumbull Citizen Alert Works

The Trumbull Citizen Alert system is populated with publicly available lists of residential and business Voice Over IP numbers and landlines. The contact database is supplemented with other information provide by those with Trumbull Citizen Alert accounts. The best way to manage how you receive alerts is to register a Trumbull Citizen Alert Account. Individuals often prefer to receive a text message or email instead of a phone call.

When the Town of Trumbull issues community notification message or a message about a potential safety hazard or concern, the system will attempt to contact people through the listed phone numbers from the Voice Over IP and landline databases, or the customized contact preferences listed in the person's Trumbull Citizen Alert account. 

It is important to "confirm" receipt of the alert when it is received. This will direct the system to stop contacting you at your alternate contacts.

Residents, businesses, and neighbors with listed telephone numbers have already been included in the system through the Voice Over IP and landline databases. Creating a Trumbull Citizen Alert account is encouraged, and will allow you to receive alerts on your preferred contact method.
